KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE AND PRACTICE OF FOOD HYGIENE AMONG FOOD VENDORS IN A SELECTED TERTIARY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION IN BENIN CITY, EDO STATE

The study was designed to investigate knowledge, attitude and practice of Food Hygiene among Food Vendors in a selected tertiary educational institution in Benin City, Edo State using descriptive cross-sectional survey design. Snowball sampling technique was used to select 250 food vendors involved in the study. A validated and reliability tested structured questionnaire was utilised to collect data. The study was guided by four research questions and two hypotheses. Data analysis was done using SPSS version 21.

EFFECTS OF MENTAL HYGIENE TREATMENT ON PSYCHOSOCIAL WELL-BEING OF FAMILY VIOLENCE VICTIMS IN OGUN STATE, NIGERIA

Mental hygiene is a process of reawakening of individuals in order to perform their duties effectively in a changing world facing off crisis and violence. This study investigated the effects of mental hygiene treatment through mental hygiene education on social wellbeing of family violence victims. It equipped the family violence victims with mind processing skill in order to minimise the effects of family violence on the social well being of the victims.

EXTRACTION AND APPLICATION OF INDIGENOUS PLANT DYE ON COTTON FABRICS IN NIGERIA: IMPLICATIONS FOR HOME ECONOMICS EDUCATION

CORRELATES OF INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY, ENTREPRENEURIAL EDUCATION AND ECONOMIC SELF-RELIANCE INITIATIVE OF UNIVERSITY STUDENT

The study examines the relationship of information and communication technology, entrepreneurial education and economic self- reliance initiative of university undergraduates in Ogun State. Three hypotheses were formulated for the survey research design study. A total of 2400 participants constitute the sample for the study.

ANTIMICROBIAL RESISTANCE OF ESCHERICHIA COLI, SALMONELLA SPECIES AND STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS FROM FREE-RANGE CATTLE IN OGHARA, DELTA STATE, NIGERIA

Antibiotic-resistant bacteria pathogens have emerged worldwide over the years giving rise to a plethora of diseases. This study was aimed at assessing the prevalence and resistance determinants of Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella spp. and Escherichia coli present in free-range cattle in Oghara District, Nigeria. A total of 20 nasals and 20 rectal samples of cattle were collected using the standard bacteriological methods, while antibiotic sensitivity pattern was studied using the disc diffusion method.

INFLUENCE OF SOME MARITAL CRISIS COMPONENTS ON THE STUDY HABITS OF MARRIED HOME-ECONOMICS STUDENTS IN PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES IN EDO STATE

The study investigated the influence of components of marital crisis on the academic study habits of married Home Economics students at selected tertiary institutions in Edo state. The study set out specifically to assess the extent by which unsatisfactory sexual relationship and marital infidelity of spouse, influenced their study habit.

These disheartening situations can be attributed to many factors, but one of the major factors militating against the long life of these facilities is the poor Environmental management culture of our people.
